Of all the content I share on Bump Style's social media platforms, my absolute favourite is finding and posting pregnancy announcements. There is something so special about that moment when expectant parents are finally able to announce to the world their happy news and these days the ideas and themes are getting more and more creative. And I am not alone in my love of the baby announcement. When Queen Bey posted a pic announcing she and Jay Z were expecting twins, the internet went into meltdown, with 5 million likes in the first 3 hours.
So before you start planning how you would like to share your special news with the world, don't forget to tell your nearest and dearest the old fashioned way. You don't want upset loved ones who heard the news first on your social media feed. And while I am sharing below some of my favourites, there should be no pressure to come up with the best or the funniest post. Sometimes simple is best and there will be so many other things to worry about, without adding this to the list. So here are some of my faves:
I love this photo because it has relaxed vibe and feels like a candid moment as preparations for baby begin. A good approach if you are already planning to do some renos.
Such a simple set up but so stylish. All this one took is a balloon, a splash of colour and a cooperative toddler. Easy.
When you put a beautiful family in a beautiful location you get a keepsake memory like this.
When your first born is as gorgeous as this, you have to include her in the photo, especially when she looks this adorable in bunny ears.
I love the vintage look and feel of this picture using an older sibling in the wicker pram and stunning gold balloons.
The perfect way to guarantee cuteness overload is to include your puppy in the picture with your ultrasound image.
The inclusion of a fur baby is definitely one of my favourite ways to announce and the family recipe is a beautiful touch.
This couple turned a classic photo into something special with the addition of digital art.
The inclusion of signage with a positive message helps express the pure joy of these expecting parents.
