It seems the first anniversary since I started Bump Style as a business has been and gone. With everything going on at the moment, I completely forgot about it. So Happy Anniversary! It's been an amazing year and like all Mum's who start a solo business, full of challenges and growth both professionally and personally. Without getting too soppy because that is not my style, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to follow my biz, like or comment on a post, read my blog, visit my website, collaborate with me, publish a guest blog, feature me in one of their blogs or posts, provide me with coaching support, provide me with virtual friendship and the fabulous customers I have had the pleasure of working with.
So what's in store for next year? As anyone who has started a biz will know, the first couple of years can be tough and only the fabulous few make money that early in the journey. As a solo Mum, I am the sole breadwinner and the finances have taken a beating since I last stepped into an office two years ago. My passion and drive to be my own boss and do something I love has not wavered, but I have accepted reality for now and will be returning to my old career on a part time basis to ease the financial burden. I am going to attempt the juggle of day job, side job, raising my son and keeping my sanity, but I will have to scale back on some things until I settle into a new routine. If anyone else has managed to do this successfully, I would be keen to hear any tips.
I loved compiling a post six months ago of my favourite maternity looks so far and promised to do it again at the one year mark. There are so many gorgeous ladies out there doing pregnancy in style and it was hard to narrow down my top choices, but here they are.
